GA ep45-ud3p
Strengths: Sounds good. Cpu temp was 30 deg. cent. system temp around 34c. It was supposedly designed for overclocking. I was just looking for a well built, stable, quality motherboard.
Weakness: Mwave sent older rev bd.;Won't install Windows XP SP1.;Only ONE ide channel! Length between Floppy slot and Floppy barely reach, tacky. Paid for test, got older bios.
This bd. doesn't match up to its PR. Gigabyte tech support answers their phone though and you can understand them. Mwave sent a rev. 1.0 but there is a rev 1.1 out there, somewhere that may work better.

No Gigabyte Rebates
Strengths: None
Weakness: Gigabyte will not honor rebates
Am posting to warn people of the rebate issue. Apparently, Gigabyte is not honoring rebates. I filed in Jan 2009 and I am still waiting in Sept 2009 to get my $20. I filed through the processing agency status-now and they informed me that Gigabyte is having issues with sending the money. So be forewarned.

Very nice board
Strengths: Good layout, stable BIOS, extra SATA ports, typical Gigabyte quality, lots of fan headers, lots of USB ports on I/O shield
Weakness: None that I am aware of
It is happy with a Q9550 quad-core, two ATI graphics cards and 8 GB of RAM. I upgraded to W7 64-bit with no problems at all. I don't do extreme over-clocking, so I don't have any experience there, but moderate speedup is totally stable.
No drama - It just works.

excellent board
Strengths: price and ALL features
Weakness: None
To previous reviewer: What planet are you from trying to install XP SP1 on a board this new???? No it will not be supported. Obviously there is a lack of build/tech experience and you then rate the product poorly because you chose a crap O/S I have done 4 builds with this ( 1 XP SP3, 2 Vista home prem and 1 Win 7) WITHOUT issues

Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P
The Gigabyte GA-EP45-UD3P is an ATX motherboard that supports Intel LGA 755 format processors.
