I live in Australia and can go to several computer stores and buy the same or very similar Video cards for only 25% of the cost advertised ion the current " TOMS Hardware catelog.

AMD Radeon HD 6950 Review
At $299 the new AMD Radeon HD 6950 has no direct competition, but we'll be keeping a close eye on how it compares to the GeForce GTX 470 and 570, and whether it makes more sense to scale down or up to get better value.
