The Radeon HD 6970 is the new top-end desktop graphics card from AMD, released alongside the HD 6950 in December 2010. The GPUs are successors to AMDs former top-of-the-line DirectX 11 models, the HD 5850 and 5870. The HD 6970 offers 1536 stream processors and an 880MHz core clock speed, an upgrade over both the 850MHz HD 5870 and the 800MHz HD 6950, which, significantly, is about $70 cheaper....
