Who needs Extreme?
Strengths: FOUR Processors and 12MB Cache makes this CPU FAST!
Weakness: NONE
Built a new system for video editing and needed some serious horsepower to match my X48 motherboard. Have always favored Intel CPU's and after looking at the Q9550 I had to have it. Paired up with 4GB DDR3-10666 ram I have yet to find any application/s that will bring this CPU to it's knees. Easy to over clock if that's your thing.

Strengths: Lightning fast
Weakness: Price
Very fast CPU, works well with my ASUS P5K Deluxe. This chip has relieved my previous E6600 to be used in a dedicated compact home theatre in the living room.

This processor is now an excellent value. You can get nearly Quad Extreme performance for what you used to have to pay for a Q6600. The large cache on this baby also provides plenty of room for multi-tasking.

Excellent for the money, this cpu is a bomb, very fast on almost any application you through them in. Much faster than the E8400 when it comes to multitasking.
