Top Tier Performance Without The Premium Price!
Strengths: It performs just as well a fully fledged 680i SLI, for a lot less money. Supports all 65nm CPU's, and 45nm dual cores. Board has many features.
Weakness: Compared to the i680 SLI, many features have been cut. Active cooling for both north and south bridges possibly inadequate or too noisy, depending on your tastes. Does not support 45nm Quads.
The i680 LT motherboard brings the performance of the i680 SLI to a lower price point. It offers awesome performance but with a few compromises. Compared to the i680 SLI, we are missing: 1x PCIe 16x slot (still have 2 16x slots remaining), 2x USB ports (still have 8), 1x Gigabit LAN (down to 1), fancy north/south bridge cooling (now it's active cooling), LED post codes + power/reset buttons on...

Outstanding Motherboard
Strengths: Easy to install
Weakness: Error in their manual
Great motherboard; upgraded from the Intel D945GPM and happy that I did. This motherboard (via Bios) will let you overclook your memory from the standard 1.8V up to 2.2V. I also purchased the XFX GF 8600GTS 512MB DDR3 video card...what a great match and performance combo!!! NOW -- The XFX motherboard comes with a 8-Pin 12V power input (for the CPU); however, the "industry standard" (according to...

XFX 680i LT Motherboard
Strengths: This is a good valve condidering all it's features. Other motherboards with these features cost $50 - $100 more. It also has a good warranty.
Weakness: If you are a fisrt time user this isn't the most descriptive manual I have used. It works, but a few thing are left out or they may assume you it.
I built this with a Q6600 processor, 2 GB RAM, WD 500 SATA hard drive. I did get everything plugged in OK including front panel USB header, Firewire port, and Audio ports. The system wouldn't start. One of the Cosair memory sticks was bad. Once I removed it it took off. Be sure to go to the manufacturers web site for the latest updates. They recommend the first thing you do is flash the bias. I...
