Switch works
Strengths: Plugged in and was operational right out of the box.
Weakness: The uplink port is not marked or otherwise clearly identified. Occasionally needs to be powered off and on to reconnect to the network.
This is a low cost low end switch for use when extending a wired ethernet network to a few additional ports. It does not heat up like my two previous linksys switch-hubs did. My largest single problem is that D-LINK does not honor their manufacturers rebate offer that they had posted on MWAVE. If you see a mail-in rebate offer from D-LINK, beware. I no longer trust D-LINK because of their tricky...
